Narration that keeps listeners in the story

Audiobook Production

Full audiobook production to ACX and platform standards: directed narration, editing, proofing, and mastering, for authors, narrators, and publishers.

Audiobooks live or die on consistency and clarity across many hours of listening. We produce audiobooks end to end: directed narration in an isolated booth, careful editing, proofing against the manuscript, and mastering to the technical standards of ACX, Audible, and other platforms. The finished product keeps listeners inside the story from the first chapter to the last.

Andrew Nolan has audiobook and voiceover credits with Audible and brings a director-first approach to narration. We help narrators pace long-form reads, keep character voices consistent, and maintain tone across sessions recorded on different days. For authors narrating their own work, we guide the performance so the book sounds professional.

Every deliverable meets platform requirements: per-chapter files, correct room tone, noise floor, peak, and RMS levels, opening and closing credits, and retail sample. We handle pickups and corrections cleanly so the manuscript and audio match. The result passes technical review and sounds like a commercial release.

FAQ

Audiobook Production FAQs

Do you deliver to ACX and Audible standards?+

Yes. Every audiobook is mastered to ACX technical requirements, including room tone, noise floor, peak and RMS levels, per-chapter files, and the retail sample, so it passes review and publishes cleanly.

Can I narrate my own book?+

You can, and many authors do. We coach the performance, manage pace and consistency, and handle all the technical work so your self-narrated book sounds like a professional production.

How long does an audiobook take?+

Finished audio typically runs around one hour per ten thousand words, and recording usually takes roughly twice the finished runtime once you allow for retakes. Editing, proofing, and mastering add production time. We schedule long reads across multiple sessions.

Do you provide narrators?+

We can record your chosen narrator, help you cast one, or record author self-narration. Andrew directs each session to keep the performance strong and consistent throughout.
