The Studio

Where Sound Comes Alive

Three bookable spaces built from the ground up for capturing and creating audio: a treated live room, a production suite, and an isolated voiceover booth, plus an artist lounge to keep long sessions creative.

Studio A: Live Room + Control

Bookable

The main tracking room for bands, ensembles, and full productions.

Studio A is the main recording space at Animus, pairing an acoustically treated live room with a calibrated control room. Variable absorption lets the room go from tight and controlled for close-miked sources to open and lively for drums and ensembles.

The control room is set up for accurate monitoring and fast workflow, with a professional interface chain, a selection of preamps, and a microphone locker built around industry-standard capsules. It is the room for full-band tracking, live takes, and any session where players need to see and hear each other.

Best For

  • Full-band and ensemble recording
  • Live drum tracking
  • Vocal recording
  • Overdubs and re-amping
  • Larger production sessions

Studio B: Production Suite

Bookable

A focused production and mix room for writing, beatmaking, and post.

Studio B is a dedicated production and mixing suite built for writing sessions, beatmaking, editing, mixing, and mastering. It is a quieter, more intimate space than Studio A, designed for the parts of a project that happen in front of the screen.

The room runs the full plugin and instrument arsenal across Pro Tools, Logic, and Ableton, with accurate monitoring for mix decisions that translate. It is ideal for producer sessions, songwriting, vocal comping and tuning, and full mix and master work.

The voiceover booth is a dedicated, isolated space with broadcast-grade acoustic treatment for a clean, controlled voice recording with no room colour. It is built for voiceover, narration, audiobooks, and podcast recording where dialogue clarity is everything.

Sessions can be engineered and directed by Andrew, who brings voice-coaching and direction experience from masterclasses and commercial work, or run as a focused recording for experienced talent. The signal chain is built around large-diaphragm condensers and the Shure SM7B for a warm, present voice.
