Where a recording becomes a song
Mixing
Professional mixing that turns raw tracks into a balanced, punchy, release-ready song, in person or remotely, with revisions until you are happy.
Mixing is where all the parts become a song. We balance levels, carve space with EQ, control dynamics, place elements in a stereo field, and add depth and effects so every element is heard and the record moves. A great mix serves the emotion of the song first and the technical polish second.
We mix in a calibrated control room on reference-grade monitoring, cross-checked on multiple systems so the mix translates from earbuds to car speakers to club systems. Sessions can be in person, where you sit alongside the engineer and give real-time direction, or remote, where you send stems and we deliver mixes and revisions online. Interstate and international clients work with us remotely all the time.
We mix across every genre, from raw punk and heavy metal through to polished pop, hip hop, electronic, acoustic, and film and media. Revisions are part of the process, so we refine the mix against your notes until it is right, then hand off to mastering to finish the record.

FAQ
Mixing FAQs
What is the difference between mixing and mastering?+
Mixing balances and shapes all the individual tracks of a song into one cohesive stereo mix. Mastering takes that finished stereo mix and prepares it for release, optimising loudness, tone, and consistency across a body of work and each delivery format. Most records need both. We offer them together or separately.
Can you mix remotely if I recorded elsewhere?+
Yes. Remote mixing is a large part of what we do. You send your stems, we mix in our room, and we deliver mixes and revisions online. It works well for interstate and international clients.
How should I export stems for mixing?+
Export each track as a full-length WAV from the same start point, at the session sample rate, with no master-bus processing unless it is part of the sound. We provide a short guide when you book so your stems arrive ready to mix.
How many revisions do I get?+
Revisions are part of the process. We refine the mix against your notes until it is right. Most mixes settle within a couple of revision rounds because we align on references before we start.
